European stocks finished down on Tuesday, with the Stoxx Europe 600 index falling by 0.18% to 455.40.

Top Gainers and Losers
Among the Stoxx Europe 600 constituents, Smurfit Kappa Group PLC saw the largest decline on Tuesday as shares tumbled by 10.2%.
The top five largest decreases were seen in MTU Aero Engines AG and Gerresheimer AG, with their stocks dropping by 6.9% and 6.3%, respectively. BE Semiconductor Industries N.V. and Nemetschek SE also experienced significant decreases, with their stocks dropping by 6.0% and 5.0%, respectively.
On the other hand, Viaplay Group AB Series B, a media/entertainment company, saw the largest increase among Stoxx Europe 600 constituents, as shares jumped by 12.9% on Tuesday. HelloFresh SE and Associated British Foods PLC also performed well, with their stocks adding 8.2% and 5.4%, respectively.
Ryanair Holdings PLC, an air transport company, and Grifols S.A., a health care/life sciences business, rounded out the top five largest increases as their stocks rose by 5.0% and 4.5%, respectively.
Currency and Commodity Highlights
The pound (GBPUSD) was down by 0.24% against the dollar, while the euro (EURUSD) was down by 0.20%. Brent crude gained 1.80% to $92.27.
Bond Yields
The yield on the 10-year gilt fell by 6.13 basis points to 4.414%, while the yield on the German 10-year bund increased by 0.500 basis points to 2.65%.
