Most large cryptocurrencies experienced a downturn in morning trading on Friday. Cardano (ADAUSD) saw the biggest change, tumbling 1.72% to 49 cents.
Several other currencies also posted reductions on Friday. Polkadot (DOTUSD) fell 1.48% to $6.85, while Solana (SOLUSD) dropped 1.38% to $92.69.
Ripple (XRPUSD) experienced a decrease of 1.38% to 54 cents, and Uniswap (UNIUSD) dropped 1.09% to $6.28. Bitcoin (BTCUSD) inched down 0.35% to $40,929.20.
Polygon (MATICUSD) and Dogecoin (DOGEUSD) rounded out the decreases for the day, dropping 0.31% to 78 cents and 0.14% to 8 cents, respectively.
On the other hand, Ethereum (ETHUSD) posted the only increase among the largest cryptocurrencies, rising 0.76% to $2,472.53.
In company news related to the crypto market, shares of Coinbase Global Inc. (COIN) slid 0.36% to $123.90, while MicroStrategy Inc. (MSTR) fell 1.79% to $477.88. Riot Platforms Inc. (RIOT) experienced a decline of 2.32% to $10.09, and shares of Marathon Digital Holdings Inc. (MARA) fell 2.64% to $15.65.
Block Inc. (SQ) climbed 0.14% to $64.56, and Tesla Inc. (TSLA) rose 0.01% to $211.91.
PayPal Holdings Inc. (PYPL) saw an increase of 1.92% to $63.28, and Ebang International Holdings Inc. (EBON) rose 0.74% to $9.19. NVIDIA Corp. (NVDA) rose 1.08% to $577.26, and Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD) climbed 0.96% to $164.23.
In the fund space, the blockchain-focused Amplify Transformational Data Sharing ETF (BLOK) inched down 0.51% to $26.19. The Bitwise Crypto Industry Innovators ETF (BITQ), which focuses on pure-play crypto companies, shed 1.89% to $8.31.
