Stock Market Update

With the opening of U.S. stock markets just two hours away, there are several notable movements in pre-market trading. Carvana Co. Cl A (CVNA) is showing an impressive gain of 18.1%, while VMware Inc. (VMW) is up 7.6%.

Elevance Health Inc. (ELV), AT&T Inc. (T), and ICL Group Ltd. (ICL) are all experiencing gains of at least 4%. However, Joby Aviation Inc. (JOBY) and Omnicom Group Inc. (OMC) have seen a decline, with decreases of 6.4% and 6.2% respectively.

In the broader market, S&P 500 futures are down 0.03%, while futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average are up by 0.08%. The Cboe Volatility Index futures have decreased by 1.71%.

Turning our attention to commodities, Brent crude oil futures have increased by 0.33%, but gold futures are down by 0.24%. On the cryptocurrency front, Bitcoin has climbed by 0.69% and is currently valued at $29,986.

A noteworthy development in the bond market is the slip in the 10-Year Treasury yield, which now stands at 3.767%.

During the previous regular trading session, the S&P 500 gained 0.71% and the Dow saw a rise of 1.06%. Overnight, Asian stocks performed well, with Japan’s NIKKEI 225 Index experiencing a gain of 1.24% and China’s Shanghai Composite Index rising by 0.03%.

In European markets, stocks are also on the rise, with the STOXX Europe 600 Index increasing by 0.39% and the FTSE 100 Index gaining a notable 1.62% from the previous closing.
