Rocket Companies has announced that Varun Krishna will be taking over as chief executive officer effective Sept. 5. Krishna, a former executive at Intuit and PayPal, brings a wealth of experience to the Detroit-based financial services company.
Krishna will be succeeding Bill Emerson, who has been serving as interim CEO since June. Emerson will transition into the role of chief operating officer once Krishna assumes his new position.
Prior to joining Rocket Companies, Krishna held several key roles, including executive vice president and general manager of Intuit’s consumer group, where he oversaw TurboTax. He also served as senior director of product at PayPal.
In addition to his new role as CEO of Rocket Companies, Krishna will also be taking on the position of CEO at Rocket Mortgage, replacing Bob Walters. Walters, who is currently serving as CEO of Rocket Mortgage and COO of Rocket Cos., will retire on Sept. 5.
Rocket Companies is confident that Krishna’s leadership and expertise will drive the company forward in its mission to provide innovative financial solutions to its clients.
